πQuick start
Cartwise puts five revenue levers in one app. You can be live in under five minutes:
- Install Cartwise from the Shopify App Store and open it from your admin.
- Enable the theme app embed so the storefront widgets can render (one toggle β see below).
- Create your first bundle or design a cart drawer from a template.
- Publish β your offer appears on the storefront instantly. Watch results in Analytics.
β‘Install & enable the embed
After installing, turn on the storefront embed so bundles and the cart drawer can appear:
- In Cartwise, open the Home dashboard β the activation card shows whether the embed is on.
- Click Enable (this deep-links you into Shopify's theme editor with the Cartwise embed pre-selected).
- Toggle the Cartwise app embed on, then Save the theme.
π¦Product bundles
Group products together and reward shoppers for buying more. Cartwise supports several bundle styles:
A set of specific products sold together at a bundle price (e.g. a "Beard Growth Kit").
"Buy more, save more" tiers β 1 / 2 / 3+ with bigger discounts at higher quantities.
Let shoppers build their own kit by choosing from a list, with color / image swatch pickers. Starter+
Add a free product automatically when the cart hits a threshold. Starter+
Create a bundle
- Go to Bundles β New bundle.
- Pick the bundle type and add products with the resource picker.
- Set the pricing β percentage off, fixed amount off, or a specific bundle price.
- Choose where it appears (product pages, a dedicated section, or the cart drawer) and Publish.
πVolume discounts & quantity options
Quantity breaks nudge larger orders. Configure tiers with their own labels and a "most popular" highlight:
- Add as many tiers as you like (e.g. 1 = full price, 2 = 10% off, 3+ = 15% off).
- Mark one tier as Most popular to draw the eye to your best-value option.
- Customize per-tier titles, badges, and the "per item" unit label.
πCart drawer Starter+
A slide-out cart you compose from 16 building blocks across three groups β header, body, and footer β with drag-and-drop ordering and a live preview.
Build your drawer
- Open Cart drawer and start from a template or a blank drawer.
- Add blocks from the palette; drag to reorder within the header / body / footer groups.
- Click a block to edit its settings (text, colors, products, timing). The preview updates live.
- Save β the drawer is written to your theme as a metafield and renders on the storefront.
β¨Frequently bought together
Suggest complementary products right where shoppers decide. Cartwise can apply a real "add all" discount at checkout.
- Open Frequently bought together and choose a strategy (manual picks or automatic suggestions).
- Set an optional "Add all" discount (% or amount off) and the max number of suggestions.
- Publish β the widget appears on product pages and/or the cart drawer.
πPost-purchase upsells Scale
Offer one more product on Shopify's native thank-you page β shoppers accept with one click and no re-entering payment, so it's pure incremental revenue.
- Open Post-purchase and pick the offer product(s), image, and price.
- Write the headline and benefit copy shown after checkout.
- Enable the offer β it shows automatically on qualifying orders.
π§Abandoned-cart recovery Scale
Win back checkouts that didn't convert with an editable email + SMS sequence. Cartwise uses your own provider, so messages send from your domain/number.
Connect a provider
- Email: bring your own key for Resend, SendGrid, Mailgun, Postmark, or Brevo.
- SMS: connect your SMS provider credentials and sender number.
Configure the sequence
- Open Abandoned cart and enable recovery.
- Edit each step's timing (e.g. 1h, 24h, 48h), channel, and message.
- Set the recovery discount (percent + code prefix) and customize the email branding (footer text, CTA label, brand color).

Split-test offers on free traffic to learn what converts before you commit.
- Open A/B testing and create a test, choosing what to compare (e.g. two bundle offers).
- Set the traffic split between variants.
- Let it run, then read conversion + revenue per variant and roll out the winner.

π οΈTroubleshooting
My bundles / cart drawer don't show on the storefront
The theme app embed is off. Open the Home dashboard and click Enable, then save your theme.
A discount isn't applying at checkout
Make sure the offer is published and active. Cartwise generates a real discount; if you changed the percentage or code prefix, the code is regenerated automatically.
Recovery messages aren't sending
Confirm your email/SMS provider credentials are saved and the sequence is enabled. Check the step timing β the first message may simply not be due yet.
A storefront feature is hidden
Some features are plan-gated (cart drawer is Starter+; post-purchase & recovery are Scale). Check your plan on the Plans page.
